As Calvin Klein's experiential agency of record in 2017, the inauguration of our creative partnership kicked off with a massive Bushwick rave. In honor of that year’s Dazed 100. Institute was tasked with creating a night of music and entertainment for the next wave of creative talent across fashion, design, architecture and music.
Institute was deeply inspired by the Berlin nightlife circuit, taking over a vacant Bushwick warehouse. Inside, projectors bathed two rooms in gray and showcased ambient projections of the Dazed 100 names alongside an interactive wheat-pasting wall. For the main event, a kinetic light show by renowned lighting designer Tobias Rylander met a custom stage design of moving mirrors. The mirrors flashed and pulsated alongside performances by Heron Preston, Arca, and Kelela well into the early morning.
