The Client

In a monumental showcase for the brand’s womenswear debut in FW18, John Elliott drew inspiration via the theme of "Delirium". Inspired by the role of delirium in Lynchian films like Twin Peaks, the objective was to transform the space into a fever dream of light, sound and lucid imagery.

The Process

Institute designed a runway with distorting, reeded glass installations, with lights and shadows cascading down each piece and across the runway. In a longstanding tradition of custom playlists, Institute also scored an eerie, pulsing soundtrack by darkwave band Them Are Us Too. For the first time in the history of John Elliott, a mix of male and female models traversed the runway - all clad in neutral palettes.
