The Client

Todd Snyder is an iconic and consistent figure in New York Mens Fashion Week every year. For his 2018 collection, he wanted to transport guests to a downtown Jazz club.

The Process

Institute ran with Todd's inspiration, deconstructing the Jazz concept and bringing forth an immersive fashion show experience. A custom ceiling, consisting of 180 halogen bulbs that hung over the runway, shrouded the models and audience in an eerie haze. The amber glow served as an appropriate backdrop for a live performance by Grammy winning trumpeter Keyon Harrold. The experience was designed to showcase an elevated, old-school sensibility, but also the modern aesthetic that Todd Snyder had already become synonymous with.
